What to Wear to Run Errands in the Cold
I feel like I’m always running around town and this time of year is no exception. I don’t know about you but I hate it when I’m not feeling good about my “running errands” look and bump into someone I know or meet up with some friends for an unplanned play date. We are busy ladies. Right? We need easy clothes that make us feel good about our appearance, but also allow us to run around town and our kids at the same the time. Here are my hints for what to wear while running errands this time of year.
Hint 1. Pants that Stretch
No I’m not talking about elastic waist bands and pajama pants. There are a number of pants that have a stretch and are super comfortable and moveable. We never know what our day will entail and we need to be prepared to move… a lot.
Hint 2. Comfortable Boots
Now this is totally up to you and your preference. I find some 2-3 inch heeled boots are comfortable. You may only want 1-2. The thing I love about boots vs tennis shoes is boots read that you’ve put some thought into your outfit, while at the same time leaving your feet happy. Again, you’re running around your need footwear that supports that activity.
Hint 3. Necklace
When you’re driving around I would assume you’re wearing a jacket or coat, but if you pop into a coffee shop or stop a grab a bite to eat that outer wear is coming off. When you have something beautiful and shiny it help brighten your face, and let’s face it we can get tired and tired looking running around town all day.
Hint 3. Chic Outerwear
We need to stay warm this time of year, that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to walk around in a bulky coat. If you pair a thick wool sweater with say a leather jacket you’ll look chic and stay warm. You can also go for a bomber jacket which gives you a sporty look, or a long duster coat which reads sophisticated.
