What to Wear to a Spring Wedding
Spring is the time for weddings. I am frequently asked questions about what I wear to weddings. What color to wear? Is white ok for a quest to wear? How about a classy jumpsuit? As far as color goes, I always ask what color the bridesmaids will be dressed in. If I’m a guest I don’t want to show up in the same color as a bridesmaid, it makes me feel like I was attempting to be a bridesmaid or something. In general with color, I say go for a color that makes you feel confident. My go-to is black or blue.
Speaking of color, I know some people say white is ok to wear, but I would never wear white to a wedding. I’d feel uncomfortable. As far as a jumpsuit goes I say go for it. Keep a few things in mind with your jumpsuit. Go for dressy, not casual, think silk and shiny material. The cut of the pants to the jumpsuit, make sure they are flowy.
Really want it comes down to is the confidence level. The last thing you want is to go to a wedding where you are fidgeting with your outfit or you feel like you can’t bust a move on the dance floor.
I’m really into lace dresses at the moment. I think lace is so elegant. I wore a backless, red lace dress last year to a wedding and felt as pretty as dare I say it, the bride. This year I found this deep blue, oversize floral lace dress. I love how it is off the shoulder.
If you have a wedding in the near future and looking for something new to try I highly recommend trying a lace dress. I have some lace dress recommendations and as always, I want to be transparent with you so here is my little disclosure.
