Monogram Easter Decor

written by Katie McMinn February 24, 2016

A good friend who works at GroopDealz asked me to use the wooden bunny for a DIY home décor project. I wasn’t sure what to turn this little furry friend into.

DYI Bunny Before

Want You’ll Need:

Wooden bunny (of course)
Wooden box
Nail
Hammer
Glue (I used Gorilla glue)
Gold paint
Paintbrush

Step 1

Adhere the wooden bunny to the wooden box.

Step 2

Tap in a nail from the inside of the box securing the box to the wooden bunny. The Gorrilla glue should do the trick, but I like to know the wood is held together with a nail in addition to the glue.

Step 3

Paint the bunny box gold. Be sure to go slow, check every nook and cranky. You don’t want any of the wood showing through. I did a second coat of paint after the first was completely dry.

Step 4

Fill the box with your favorite Easter treat or decor and enjoy.

If you end up trying this DIY project, I want to hear all about! Email me or share your project on social media #DIYBunnyProject.
