10 Christmas Cakes

Pretty much after Thanksgiving it’s a free for all as far as eating goes. This month and a half-ish I allow myself to eat whatever I want. What I want most this time of year is sweets. I indulge in mint M&Ms, cookies, brownies, cakes, homemade candy, and the list goes on and on. If you are like me and have a sweet teeth, especially during the holiday season then this article is the one for you.

I’ve done a round up al 10 bloggers who have shared a holiday treat recipe. I am excited to introduce these wonderful people and their tasty treats with you.

1. Chocolate Peppermint Cake

John has this beautiful cake, even though he doesn’t particularly like peppermint, on his blog, Preppy Kitchen. John provides frosting options with this cake recipe peppermint buttercream and Italian buttercream. Enjoy!

2. Chocolate Cranberry Mini Cakes

How cute are these mini cakes? I think they are so festive with the holly and berry topper. Hana, with Nirvana Cakery has the recipe for this cranberry chia jam filled little cakes. Another thing, Ms. Hana has made these cakes vegan, gluten-free and nut-free! It’s amazing!

3. Egg Nog Cake

I love naked cakes! I think they look so authentic and sophisticated. With the beautiful piping and spices sprinkled on top, Olivia with Liv For Cakes has nailed it. This rum spiked eggnog cake is sure to warm you up this holiday season.

4. Chocolate Pine Cone Cake

I am in love with these cookie pine cones on this cake. Who knew cookies and cake do together? Apparently, the creator(s) of the Oh Nuts Sweet and Crunchy blog knew. The design of this cake is so simple, yet makes a big statement. And let’s be honest who doesn’t like chocolate cake?

5. Gingerbread Cake

Gingerbread cake with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and caramel drizzle, I mean come on! Alli had me at cinnamon. Alli, blogger of Tornadough Alli has this sugary spiced recipe on her blog. My favorite part isI can add more cinnamon to the cream cheese frosting until it’s to me liking. Ya’ll know I love my cinnamon.

6. The Birch Cake

Mary and Brenda, bloggers are The Cake Girls created this whimsical, forest scene on a cake! This white candy birch boarder is so creative. They have a very detailed tutorial on their blog so check it out.

7. Chocolate Raspberry Cake

Beeta with Mon Petit Four shares the recipe for this coffee infused cake. The frosting is a scrumptious mascarpone and the moist decadent cake is layered between raspberry goodness.

8. Spiced Chocolate Egg Nog Cake

Erica and Abe, creators of The Crumby Kitchen I can tell you why no one puts chocolate and eggnog together, it’s because they haven’t seen your recipe. This six layer cake is spiced chocolate cake is hugged by layers of eggnog buttercream frosting and topped with chocolate ganache.

9. Holiday Cake

Marina, blogger of Let the Baking Begin is paying homage to the authentic Russian or Ukrainian cakes with this Holiday Cake. I have never seen a cake pan used upside down to make a cake. Seeing how Marina created all the cake’s layers was so interesting to me. Honestly check out her skill.

10. Cinnamon Dolce Latte Cake

Ok who doesn’t love lattes this time of year. We’ve established that I’m a fan a cinnamon, this cake is unreal! Sommer, blogger of A Spicy Perspective created this cake after enjoying her only coffee of the week, which she describes as being loaded with sugar, flavor syrups and cream. Sounds delightful to me.
