I am always finding myself at the playground. The boys love the park and anywhere there is a playground to go run around on. Well ladies…this is the perfect opportunity to get your workout on. If you find yourself at a playground with only a few other kids all the better, more room to get your workout done. Here is the key to playground workout. Look at the playground as you would the gym equipment. I use the slide as my “elliptical” machine and a cross bar for half raised pull ups. I did pushups on the half circle stepper and climbed up the vertical bar for yet another arm workout.
The thing I love most about this workout is that you can fit it in while your kids are playing AND it is a completely different workout from the gym. Much like water sports (paddle boarding, skiing, etc.) I notice that I work out different muscles, which is always a good thing.
