I hate to admit this, but I am bad with change. I have been since I was a kid. My family teases me about crying every last day of school. I hated the thought of not seeing my friends and teacher every day during the summer; along with getting a new teacher and being in a new class come September. Can you image how I’m dealing with my boys growing? Yes, there are tears.
This past Monday was Liam’s birthday. It was so fun spending the day with him. We went to his 2-year Dr. appointment, followed by birthday pancakes. Then it was a quick nap, a few hours at the zoo and we ended with pizza in the park, it’s a family thing we did almost every Friday night this past summer. If you follow me on Snapchat (kmcminn226) you know what I’m talking about.
In addition to Liam turning two, he has also started in a new class at his daycare, sleeping in a toddler bed, and I tell ya I’m so proud. It’s also ripping at my heart a bit. Again, I don’t do well with change. If you have a difficult time with change maybe my experience with his new bedtime routine and the new bed will help you.
Embrace the change. Embrace the change. Just keep repeating it to yourself until you start believing it.
